Battling Boredom and Tough Questions

It seems that I'm now battling boredom. To say that work was slow would be an understatement...it's pretty dead. When I get home after I spent 8 hours trying to find something to do I'm not motivated to do anything and nothing catches my attention for long. Not even blog... in case you had missed me.

Tonight was girls night and the three of us (Allison was home sick) dicussed this. We all are not in a happy place with our current jobs. Which makes us wonder... would we be looking for different jobs if the economy was better? Lindsey has never experienced anything but sales in a bad economy at her job. Will things be better for her? Unfortionately Shelly's won't improve so she is just waiting for the one she wants to open up.

My story is a little different...I was there during good times and though I enjoyed it I can't really say that I loved it though part of it might be some of the people that I work with. Which leads to some tough questions that will need to be answered. Such as... Is this really where I want to be in the future?... What else would I do?...Could we still make our dreams come true without that paycheck? The answers will work themselves out in the months to come. Until then I will try to motivate myself to crochet or scrapbook. I'm getting closer on the scrapbook I'm now within pages of week of the wedding and I've started a new crochet project... well I didn't start it but I hope to finish it. I have a portion of a wave afghan kit that was started by either my grandma or my greatgrandma. I'm having problems matching the gauge she used especially since I'm left handed and have to work the pattern backwards. I'll post pictures once I've made a little more progress.

  1. You pretty much summed up my feelings on my job. I don't know if I'm glad someone else has the same questions/issues or not though. You've done much better about getting to those creative things than I have though!
