Monday was a very wet day. It rained and then stormed and the rained some more. It rained so hard that it knocked over our peonys. They were just starting to bloom now they are all droopy and the blooms are facing the ground. Here is a shot of a couple of blooms that were protected by the house...

Tuesday... it stormed again. I also got a phone call from my tree guy... They finished taking down the dead pine tree and old tower at my house. My backyard looks so bare... but hopefully it will sell soon.

Thursday: Suzanne and I went to Osborne to visit a customer and then took the scenic route home. It was a lot of fun driving through small towns and looking at the architecture that makes up their main streets.
Friday night we went to my cousin Megan's graduation party.
Saturday: I spent the day doing laundry, wrapping presents and scrapbooking. Saturday night we went to Baby Kate's first birthday party. Here is a picture of one of my layouts and the birthday girl.

Today I cleaned the entire house... I think that I have finally gotten rid of the majority of the sawdust! We then went out to Grandma Roesner's to clean out her flowerbeds and mowed and trimmed up almost everything. She was very pleasantly suprised when she got home. There still is a ton of work that needs to be done but we got everything up close to the house in a better shape. While working in one of the overgrown flowerbeds I found two of these.

My first thought was that it was a giant earthworm curled up... until I saw his stripe. HIs bottom side is entirely orange with a small ring around his neck. I have no idea what kind of snake he even is. Any ideas? After I found the second I worried about how many more I would find and if their mom was close!
