Summer's Here

Summer is offically here. We went from chilly to hot everyday and super humid. Unfortionately we are getting just enough rain to keep the guys out of the field. It is doing wonderful things with my flowers though.

On Monday there were three flowers on my daylilly today there were six.

This guy is confused. I found a set of bulbs on sale mid-April so I brought them home and planted them. This week I have two daffodils with a few more on the way.

I also got some scrapbooking done tonight. The first of two wedding scrapbooks is finally finished!

Another week

This week has been another busy one... I worked with the service guys one day and then fought computer updates another. I have officially been upgraded to Windows 7 at work and I'm relearning how to do just about everything. AutoCad and Steelcase symbols are especially challenging. Yesterday I went to Caden and Bree's Dance Recital.

We then went out to celebrate Kiley's 3rd Birthday

And I was able to get some scrapbooking done this weekend
Next weekend we are off to our first wedding of our busy summer.

Week in review...

Monday was a very wet day. It rained and then stormed and the rained some more. It rained so hard that it knocked over our peonys. They were just starting to bloom now they are all droopy and the blooms are facing the ground. Here is a shot of a couple of blooms that were protected by the house...

Tuesday... it stormed again. I also got a phone call from my tree guy... They finished taking down the dead pine tree and old tower at my house. My backyard looks so bare... but hopefully it will sell soon.

Thursday: Suzanne and I went to Osborne to visit a customer and then took the scenic route home. It was a lot of fun driving through small towns and looking at the architecture that makes up their main streets.

Friday night we went to my cousin Megan's graduation party.

Saturday: I spent the day doing laundry, wrapping presents and scrapbooking. Saturday night we went to Baby Kate's first birthday party. Here is a picture of one of my layouts and the birthday girl.

Today I cleaned the entire house... I think that I have finally gotten rid of the majority of the sawdust! We then went out to Grandma Roesner's to clean out her flowerbeds and mowed and trimmed up almost everything. She was very pleasantly suprised when she got home. There still is a ton of work that needs to be done but we got everything up close to the house in a better shape. While working in one of the overgrown flowerbeds I found two of these.
My first thought was that it was a giant earthworm curled up... until I saw his stripe. HIs bottom side is entirely orange with a small ring around his neck. I have no idea what kind of snake he even is. Any ideas? After I found the second I worried about how many more I would find and if their mom was close!

Mother's Day

After spending a great day out at mom's with the all of my grandparents, I sat down to fix the invites that I finished this week... Yes, I said fix... I left out a word. Luckily it was relatively easy to pull the backs off and reattach new ones. Then I made one of the cards that I need this month. This one is for my cousin's graduation.

Long time

It's been a while since I've posted. I've been busy. We finished painting the kitchen and are starting to put it back together.

I completed 30 invites for a neighbor's 50th Anniversary. They weren't exactly what I would have designed but she loved them.

I made 25 of these for my cousin's bridal shower. They will be mailed by the end of the week.

And I completed several scrapbook pages.

Hopefully it won't be as long until my next post.
